Our slouchy tees have been our most popular style shirt. They are flattering for all body types and perfect for the girl who doesn't love skin tight t-shirts! They are just really great comfy everyday wear shirts. So, we decided to make made to order listings for some of our designs that don't come on this style shirt. You can now order our Dylan, Janis, Willie + Fleetwood designs on this grey slouchy tee! We may be adding more styles in the future, but for now get our favorite music muses on them. All are currently available in sizes S-XXL in the shop!
The beautiful mermaid Marcie Dawn Moonridge of Way in Love wearing our Howl In The Moonlight slouchy tee. We love her artistic vision with the hand painted details in these shots. My heart is all sorts of pittery-pattery over that gorgeous pastel rusted tin.
Marcie and her hubby are the duo behind Way in Love + Marcie & Shawn Photography + their upcoming art shop Screech & Howl. A talented duo with wanderlust hearts and an undeniable love for life and each other.
We recently added a muscle tank in this design to the shop. Stay tuned throughout the summer for lots of new releases. I am going to try my best to keep up with this blog a bit more (fingers crossed).
Well, we created this website and started this blog last summer with high hopes of keeping up with it along with everything else we have going on... and then I got pregnant! Alot of things went out the window over the past year and this space was one of them. But we are ready to get back to it. We have so many beautiful customers shoot we would love share with you, and new releases coming out tomorrow, and throughout this month. So I thought I'd kick of the blog return with my favorite shoot from Paige of @radicalyoungsouls (on instagram). If you don't follow this girl, run to check out her page. It's full of the most mesmerizing images of the desert. She is a true gem in the world instagram. I just want to step into every photo and go exploring.
Paige is adorned in our Willie tee. We just love how she styles her shirts tucked in her belted denim, fringe, and of course a hat. Our Willie collection is inspired by one of our great favorite music muses, Willie Neslon... a hot summer day in your cut offs and a cold brew in hand, listening to the man who brought the cowboys and hippies together...
Meet our newest baby, the Howl in the Moonlight tee. I'm so in love with this deep blue color... The shirt style is also my favorite of ours, the slouchy tee. It's just the perfect super relaxed fit. I might be living in this tee for a while with my pregnant belly.
Well, it's already been since September since we have posted a blog over in this space. Alot has happened since then! Biggest of which, we found out we are having our first child this summer! Laura is now in her second trimester, and we find out what the gender is today! It's been such an amazing experience so far.
In Skyline Fever news, we released our first mug in early December! It's a little twist on our most popular Dylan Tee, we just replaced 'whiskey' with 'coffee'. We are both huge coffee lovers, and it just felt appropriate for this baby. So far they have been a huge success and well be ordering our second batch soon! We can't thank you guys enough. We are contemplating bringing another design to a mug, but haven't decided yet.
These babies look like the old school tin campfire mugs, but they are ceramic. They are a great size not only for coffee, but soups too. They have quickly become a favorite around our house, and that says alot b/c Laura is kind of a mug junkie and is super picky about the ones she uses.
It's been a while since weve popped over here with everything that has been going on, but were going to try to make a better effort at updating this space. It was so exciting to finally get the Skyline Fever website up and running, and then crickets... Our fault. We just made a new tee last night, so keep your eyes on the shop!
This past summer, Alexe of Doll Poupee, traveled from her home country of France to the US, fulfilling a wanderlust adventure of a lifetime. She visited so many places Ive only dreamed of going to, and I live in this country! It was so fun to follow along her travels, and now she has so many beautiful photoshoots to look back on from her trip. Her friend Suzy Wolf traveled with her taking tons of outfit shoots along the way.
She wore our Dylan Tee when she visited a Ghost Town in Bodie Hills in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. I can only imagine the feeling of being in this place. I love old buildings and this town is full of homes, churches, old cars and more... even still has the household items in it. Incredible moments in time standing still.
Visit Alexe's blog post to see more of the Ghost Town itself, and find out more details about her fun outfit. Find our Dylan tee she is wearing here. Alexe also has an etsy shop of her own selling beautiful kimonos + dreamcatchers. Find her on instagram under @dollpoupee
Today is a big day that we have been waiting for since around December of last year. We created a custom shirt in collaboration with our favorite coffee company, La Colombe, for their new show called Uncommon Grounds on The Travel Channel. The episode featuring our shirts airs tonite at 10pm Central. It's going to be a long day waiting for it!!!
But the exciting news is that the shirt is already up on their site available for purchase! It will be sold exclusively through La Colombe. As coffee lovers ourselves, we are honored to work with this company and the awesome people behind it, b/c well, they are just that... awesome. We had the pleasure of meeting two of the girls who work with them (which I'll share more about soon) and they were as sweet as they come. It's so rad to know good people are behind a company you love, which is not always the case. We are honored that they saw something in us and reached out for a collaboration. Pretty much James' dream come true.
If you are a coffee lover and want to check out our personal favorites, check out their Corsica, Fishtown, or a sampler pack of the upcoming coffees for this season's show. We are also in love with their keep cup and klean kanteen. And our hot weather favorite is the Pure Black cold brew. Just buy the 12 pack b/c you will be sad you don't have more after drinking just one. In my opinion ;)
The shirts are currently only available in unisex, so please size down ladies! In the outfit post above Laura is wearing the uni Small and James is wearing the Medium. We are not sure how long they will stay in stock after the show airs tonite. We really have no idea what to expect at all, which is exciting!
Let us know if you grab one or if you watch the show tonite!!! We can't wait to here what you think.
We are stoked to have put together this collaboration with the wonderful Sadie from Sadie Deluxe. She put together a little dream team and made some magic. Her stunning friend + model Aliza Gerstein looks smokin' in our tees. Sadie styled everything with rad items from her vintage shop, and shot these at Great State Coffee in Chico, CA. The mural alone makes me want to visit this coffee shop! A huge thanks to her talented photographer, Mariamma Iris.
One of my favorite ways to style a tee is tucked into a pair of vintage high waisted shorts, especially if its a tighter fitting tee. I think they nailed the styling. I also think Aliza is just a beautiful butterfly. They all just came together and beautifully captured our tees.
So much love to Sadie + her team for putting together this shoot for Skyline Fever! We love you guys! Go check out Sadie's awesome vintage shop too.
Some of you who have been following us for a while know that we have been waiting for this day to come for a long time. Tonite is the airing of La Colombe Coffee Roaster's new show on The Travel Channel called Uncommon Grounds. A new spin on their old series Dangerous Grounds. We have been fans of the show for quite some time now, and Todd Carmichael has been someone James has looked up to as well.
Earlier this year in January we were contacted by Todd and his team to create a custom shirt for one of his episodes coming up in this new season. He loved the style of our 'music muse' shirts, so we pulled our heads together and came up with something that perfectly suited Todd. For those of you who want to follow along his Journey in this new series, you'll be able to see him wearing our shirt in the second episode, airing next monday!!!
Tonite we are celebrating with a beautiful home cooked meal, some La Colombe coffee and tons of excited for the long awaited release of this show. Next monday we will really be celebrating! We will keep you posted and also share a fun duo outfit post of James and I wearing the shirts! Stay tuned for more.
To watch the show, check out The Travel Channel tonite at 11pm/ 10c.
Welcome to Skyline Fever! Having a website to accompany our shirts has been a long time dream, so it's very exciting that it's finally here. We wanted to create a space where customers can easily view our work, shop, see some behind the scenes action & get inspiration on styling our clothing.
It's hard to believe that Skyline Fever will be 5 years old next month! Wow!!! It doesn't feel like that long since it's only been the last 2 years that things have really picked up. With the release of our signature Dylan tee above, the blossoming of Skyline Fever really began. We never expected it to take off the way it did over night! We will never forget that experience. We had to put our shirts on pre-order status that took up to 8 weeks to receive, it was nuts! Things have settled down after the initial explosion, and we have spent the past few months working on having all of our shirts in stock and ready to ship. We are still in transition at this point, but each week we are building our stock up. It's been so awesome to be able to go from pre-orders that were taking 4-8 weeks to get out to being able to ship a shirt within a few days! We will continue to strive to keep up with the shop in this way.
Skyline Fever is still not our full-time job, although we are hoping one day it can be for James! We both have our own things going on... James works during the day at a local HEB, and I (Laura) am the founder of the Bohemian Collective and create a bi-annual magazine, and sometimes still find time to create jewelry for my bohemian adornment line Roots & Feathers. I am also a fulltime blogger at rootsandfeathers.com.
It has been an awesome and rewarding journey to be able to create Skyline Fever together. James had an idea and passion to get into screenprinting, and I like to draw and design, so it just came together. I would really like to get back to drawing again for our clothing... that is one thing I would like to see happen for the new year.
We have lot's in store for our readers here in this space, so check back to see what's new. We have a fun announcement tomorrow!
